The long-term solution for the development of Africa lies within many aspects, but chief among them is good governance. When the people of Africa – the citizens – speak, their needs must be heard.
The PAP provides a common arena for the engagement of Africa’s people in all the decision-making proceedings for the progress of the continent. Thus, we at the PAP are immensely proud of our role in enhancing the democratisation of Africa. After more than 10 years of working towards the advancement of Africa, the PAP understands the need for dialogue, consensus and participation – and how necessary these elements are to move Africa forward on a path of growth to attain a future enjoyed by all.
We wish to thank the Bureau of the PAP, which comprises the President, Hon Roger Nkodo Dang MP, and the Vice-Presidents: Hon Eduardo Joaquim Mulémbwè MP, Hon Ashebir Woldegiorgis Gayo MP, Hon Suilma Hay Emhamed Saleh MP and Hon Dr Bernadette Lahai MP, for serving as leadership role models for the continent’s capacity to effectively help address change.
The PAP Members too deserve great acknowledge-ment for their considerable efforts in continuing the good work over the last decade by all their predecessors. We also extend our thanks to the Parliaments, partners and stakeholders who work with us, and to the South African Government for hosting the PAP in Midrand, Gauteng.
Our gratitude also goes to the PAP’s staff who, through their dedication and professionalism, ensure that the organisation always aims for the highest benchmarks of competence.
We hope this edition of One Africa, One Voice will bear witness to the PAP’s continued striving towards a new continent.
