COMMITTEE ON TRADE, CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATION MATTERS (2013)

The Committee considers issues relating to the development of sound policy for cross-border, regional and continental concerns within the areas of trade, customs and immigration. It helps the PAP oversee relevant organs or institutions and policies of the AU as well as external trade. In 2010, the Committee split into three sub-committees to improve its efficiency and discussed various challenges including a lack of resources to carry out its work

COMMITTTE ON HEALTH, LABOUR AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS (2013)

The Committee considers strategies and programmes for the improvement of the lives of African people. It also handles all matters relating to the regional and international co-operation in strategic planning and implementation of social development and health policies and programmes. The Committee attended various events from 2009–2010 that focused on jobs, youth and people with disabilities, sexual and health rights as well as human trafficking while in 2012 it attended an Aids Watch meeting
