The PAP launched the Women’s Platform for Action in Africa (WPFAA) to familiarise the continent with the integration objectives and policies of the AU. The aim was to ensure that women’s voices are brought into the mainstream of AU policy processes, while raising awareness decisions made by the AU. The 2011 conference highlighted that women can play a pivotal role in bringing stability to the continent, while 2012 focused on achieving the Millennium Goals and eradicating child marriage
